Privacy Policy
How A2B1 Lab handles browser tools, hosting and analytics, possible advertising cookies and privacy requests.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to a2b1lab.com, an independent English exam-preparation site operated independently by its author. It explains the site’s intended hosting and analytics arrangements and the advertising rules that apply if advertising is enabled. We do not currently include advertising code or an AdSense script.
Information we collect directly
We collect no personal data directly through the website. There are no accounts, registration forms, contact forms, payments or learner profiles. Our word counter, score converter and verb drill run in your browser. Your writing, scores and drill answers are not sent anywhere by these tools, and we do not store them on a server. Reloading or leaving a page clears the working session.
If you choose to contact us by email, your email provider and ours necessarily process the message and sender details. We use a message only to respond, investigate the issue or handle the request, and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.
Cloudflare hosting logs
The site is intended to be hosted through Cloudflare. When you request a page, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, URL, browser details and security events to deliver the site, protect it and diagnose errors. Hosting and security logs are separate from the text you enter in our tools. Their processing and retention depend on Cloudflare’s service settings and policies.
Read the Cloudflare privacy policy for information about Cloudflare’s handling of personal data, international processing and available rights.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use, or may use, Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. It is a privacy-first service that does not use cookies or fingerprinting to identify individual visitors. It provides aggregated metrics rather than a named learner profile. It does not need the answers or writing entered into our tools.
Cloudflare may add a small analytics script to our pages to measure page views and loading speed. This processing is covered by the Cloudflare privacy policy linked above. We do not use these analytics to follow an individual learner across unrelated websites.
Advertising
This site uses or may use Google AdSense. Advertising may be displayed in the future; the following explains the cookie-based advertising processing that applies when those services are enabled.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also find third-party vendor opt-out choices at www.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Availability and scope depend on your location, browser and the vendors involved.
Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for details. External advertisers and vendors have their own policies, which govern their processing.
Cookies and consent in the EEA and UK
Our browser study tools do not set cookies. Cloudflare may use necessary security technologies according to the service configuration. Browser settings can help you inspect, block or remove cookies, although blocking some necessary technologies can affect site delivery.
When ads are enabled for users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, consent will be requested through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) before advertising cookies or other processing that requires consent are activated. The CMP will explain relevant purposes, vendors and available choices, including how to revisit or withdraw consent. No advertising CMP is needed for the ad-free local version because it includes no ad scripts.
Children’s privacy
The site is aimed at teens aged 13 and over, adults and parents. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents should avoid sending a child’s identifying information in any message. If you believe a child’s information has been provided to us, contact us so that we can investigate and remove information under our control where appropriate.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data, object to processing, request portability or withdraw consent. You may also be able to complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights depend on the processing involved; we cannot retrieve browser-only drafts because they never reach us.
For data handled independently by Cloudflare or Google, their policies and privacy controls may be the appropriate route. We will consider requests relating to information under our control and may need proportionate information to understand or verify a request.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the site’s data practices change and revise the date above. For a privacy question, use hello@a2b1lab.com. Do not send sensitive documents or passwords. This version is dated .
